8/6/13 - Just writing to announce that I have resurrected an old blog I started years ago for use as a dev-blog for Muffin. There should be a link to it up top under 'blog', or if you like the direct link is styopquoons.blogspot.com. Major news updates will still be posted here, but if you want meticulous progress reports on the various things I'm doing, the blog is going to be the way to go from now on.
7/9/13 - Hey there Muffkateers, time for my once-yearly news post (lol). Anyway, a good many things have been happening in the world of Muffin since the last time I rapped at ya, so here's a brief rundown: Muffin's first adventure game, The Adventures of Stanely "Frankfurter" Jones, was completed late last year and is now available for download. Check out our new GAMES PAGE for more information. The game has thus far been downloaded by at least 140 people, and has received favorable reviews on the AGS forums. See what all the hubub is about! If you're coming to this page as a result of one of our free promotional discs that went out recently, then welcome! We encourage you to explore the site and see what the MUFFIN is all about. We think you'll be pleasantly surprised. The sample discs, by the way, are a new project that MUFFIN will be undertaking, hopefully about two to four times per year. Our goal right now is to release a new free MUFFIN music sampler about once per season of the year. The discs include the best of whatever MUFFIN has done recently, and each disc includes a free bonus game, which can be accessed by inserting the disc into your CD ROM. Also, each disc of the initial run will be hand-illustrated by Sir Runcible Spoone. Each individual disc has its own unique illustration, and starting with the second sampler disc, will come with an individual numbered certificate of authenticity. Once the initial run of these hand-illustrated discs has run out, that will be it. In an effort to reduce strain on Sir Runcible's wrist, ONLY THE FIRST RUN of sampler discs will feature unique illustrations; all subsequent runs will have standard, computer-printed art, and you will have to wait until the next sampler comes out to get a hand-illustrated one. I will try to announce them in advance, so you can make arrangements to obtain your copy. They will be available at Mile High Comics at First and Wadsworth in Denver, as well as a coffee house on 25th street in Edgewater (I don't know the name; I think it's just called "Coffee House", but it's pretty much the only coffee shop in downtown Edgewater), and maybe a few other places as well.
6/27/12 - At long last, the new album from Styop Quoons, Judge, Judy, & Executioner, is completed and ready for purchase. Please buy at least five thousand copies and encourage your friends to do the same. The album features 14 all-new Styop Quoons tracks, including the single This Delicious Ooze, which was featured on the Fawmtronica podcast in February. It also features a collaboration with Mike Skliar, a noted multi-instrumentalist and snerky New York liberal type. His FAWM album is worth a listen as well, by the way.
4/24/12 - Couple of things: Episode two of muffinCast has officially gone public, despite some production setbacks. In it is, of course, the latest installment of Songs That Didn't Need to be Covered...or Did They (which is also available here. In addition to this, the podcast also includes the first installment of The Road to Hana: Act II, which many of you have been diligently awaiting for...oh, about two years now. Each podcast will include a new episode, so be sure to subscribe if you haven't already. Also, Styop Quoons would like to announce that work has officially begun on a video game of The Road to Hana, which will be released as short serial installments via this website. More info to come.
3/8/12 - FAWM '12 was a partial success! Styop Quoons is pleased to announce the completion of as many as eight new tracks, which will form the basis of a new album, entitled Judge, Judy, and Executioner, to be released at the end of this month. Quoons has also announced that with the completion of FAWM, his bi-weekly cover song project, will resume, with mention of a possible podcast in the works.
11/23/11 - After a lengthy hiatus, Sir Runcible Spoone has announced that he is once again drawing "What's Up Bro?" comics. There are two new ones currently available under projects/comics/what's up bro. Promises of new issues a couple of times a week have also been made. Let us all wait with our fingers crossed.
